McLaren Special Operations to show two 570S models at Pebble Beach

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance will play host to two new McLaren Special Operations 570S models later this week. McLaren will also be showing off a new limited-edition version of the 650S, as well as the new 675LT.

MSO, the bespoke division of the supercar manufacturer, will be displaying a Mauvine Blue 570S coupe, complete with a carbon black interior, alongside a Ventura Orange coupe that is being used to showcase a selection of options from the MSO range.

The 650S on show will be a limited-edition version of the company’s Super Series coupe, called the 650S Le Mans. It has been created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of McLaren’s victory at the Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race. A McLaren F1 GTR took overall victory in the 1995 race, and this has been marked with a limited run of the coupe. The 650S Le Mans takes styling cues from the 1995 racing car, including a fully functioning door-mounted ‘snorkel’ air intake, lightweight alloy wheels and front wing louvres.

The cars being sold will be offered in Sarthe Grey, but the car on display is finished in the orange used by Bruce McLaren on his 1960s racers. Just 50 examples of the 650S Le Mans will be sold, but all of them are already spoken for.

The other Super Series model for Pebble Beach will be a standard version of the 675LT, which has been limited to a run of 500 worldwide. The 675LT is a track-focused model with a top speed of 205mph and a 0-62mph time of 2.9sec.

McLaren’s display will also feature a 1996 McLaren F1 GTR, while two of its models will be sold in the Concours d’Elegance auction. A McLaren P1 and the penultimate McLaren F1 are both set to be sold.
